On this 5th Sunday in Lent, we will continue in our awakening to the spiritual Truth, to our spiritual identity as beings of Spirit. The 40 days of Lent (plus six Sundays) represent the wilderness process of renewing and transforming our minds.
The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Christian community in Rome, challenged every Christian with the words,
Do not be conformed to this world, but be you transformed by the renewal of your mind. (Rom 12:2)
These words are as applicable today as they were to this early group of Christians.
How do we “renew” our minds? Each time we turn away from the “facts” as they appear in this world, turning inward, to the Truth of who we each are – we “renew” that part of us which remembers and accepts our Oneness with God – and with all of Life. It is a process. It is an awakening. And a re-awakening, again and again.
We join together this Sunday as part of our awakening. Be ye transformed!
