Nimo comes to Key West with his Empty Hands tour on May 20th , featuring songs and music based on themes of kindness, gratitude and universal love. After a career on Wall St. and fame and fortune as a MTV rap star, Nimo has finally found his true calling. Nimo is now writing, singing and living a life of practicing and sharing small acts with great love. His intention is that as he performs, he plants seeds of goodness and connects hearts in the spirit of service, and healing the world.

From an Ivy League education to Wall street to fame and fortune as a MTV Rap star, Nimo has met success in many ways. But, what happens when at the pinnacle of a successful musical rap career, you are haunted by an unshakable sense of emptiness? For Nimo, in his mid-twenties, he abandoned the limelight. An inner voice nudged him to radically simplify his life and find his purpose in service to others. Moving to India, he dedicated himself to children in the slums nearby the Gandhi Ashram. After a 7-year musical hiatus — 5 of which were spent living with and learning from slum communities — something inside nudged him to write music again. But, this time, in a different spirit. One that would reflect the heart of humanity. Recently, Nimo has released a labor-of-love album called “Empty Hands”, co-produced 8 music videos on themes of kindness, gratitude and universal love, and embarked on multiple global musical pilgrimages including one where he took 16-slum children on a tour across the world in 2012 with a musical he directed called “Oneness” — all in the spirit of finding, practicing, and sharing small acts with great love.
